Who would be
A mermaid fair,
Singing alone,
Combing her hair
Under the sea,
In a golden curl
With a comb of pearl,
On a throne?
-Alfred Lord Tennyson
Element of water – The place of feelings, intuition, clairvoyance, creativity. Perfect for the dreamy time between full and new moon. Following the ebb and flow of the patterns of life. A time for letting go of that which no longer serves you and dreaming up new new manifestations.
Mermaids are connected with love and the moon. How can you flow this weekend? Will you make a little time to go to a body of water? Wear some shells or pearls? Speak to the mermaids, spirits of the water, make a plan for exquisite love, (always and especially to the self), unbounded creativity, and deep connection to your inner rhythms and flow.
For a natural perfume, how about Mermaid’s Carnation created by Esscentual Alchemy? A scent combining flights of fancy with a free spirit, making anyone who wears it feel as enchanting as a mermaid.
Here’s Missy enjoying a wade (she doesn’t like to swim). Just wade.
I wonder what a mermaid smells like. Or what sort of sense of smell a mermaid has… Thoughts, dear Reader?
Thank you so much for sharing my perfume for Fae on Friday! Such a lovely surprise 🙂
I’ll be going out to the lake this weekend.

hmmm, yes, I know how mermaids smell! Difficult to describe. Let’s see, I’ll try: a rather salty, yet very fresh all at the same time. smells intoxicating in the summer and not at all attractive in the winter (or during very cold spells).
